Today’s travel tips will teach you how to pack enough in carry-on luggage only.

You will learn tips to eliminate the clothes you do not need to pack.

I help you based on the 22 years I have packed in only carry-on bags.

The number one problem for packing in carry-on bags is weather.

Travel tip 1: Check weather forecast during your vacation.

You know that tip so here is what you do when you see unpredictable weather.

2. Make a pile if it rains every day.

Possible items:

Rain jacket, umbrella, waterproof shoes, water-repellent pants, maybe hat or gloves if cold.

3. A few days ahead of time check the forecast again.

I know that it could rain during 2 days of my vacation.

4. Pack at least one pair of water-resistant shoes.

Eliminate shoes after this step.

Examples that will be in my pile are:

  1. waterproof sneakers with rugged sole
  2. hiking boots
  3. water-resistant sneakers
  4. waterproof sandals or trail type sandals

Travel Tip 5: Make a list of activities for each day.

Excursions could be:

  1. Walking on dirt path with loose gravel
  2. No hiking
  3. Cobblestone roads
  4. Uneven pavement city tours
  5. River boat cruise

Compare those two lists!

Make a Packing List Pile of Non-Negotiable Travel Essentials:

I am packing a sock hat because if my ears are cold, I am miserable.

It’s easy to pack.

I am debating packing my gloves. Water-repellent was helpful in Brussels Christmas Market.

Here’s why:

When you hold the umbrella in cold temperatures while it is raining, your hand will get cold unless you wear a glove.

My coat is water-resistant but just like I did in Germany for the river cruise, I will pack my little travel umbrella.

See why this coat is so helpful if you travel to Europe.

Do not let minimalism leave you unprepaired when traveling.

Follow these steps for any weather versus the activities you will be doing.

And see what I absolutely made sure that I packed for Europe so you can travel with only carry-on luggage!

The video above shows you MASTERS LEVEL thought process of how to pack enough so that you are prepared for any weather even if you pack in carry-on luggage only.
