Right after airport security screening, I pull out two containers from my liquids bag that are essential to every flight. Even though most passengers no longer are required to put the actual bag of 3.4 ounce (or smaller) containers in the bins for screening, the rules still apply.

These are essential for every airplane seat.

Watch the video of more items it that would be helpful.

Travel Tip Number 1

Pull out your eye drops and put them in a pouch you have easily accessible in your personal item bag.

For long flights, this tip is essential because of the dry air in airplanes.

Dry air in the airplane dries out my eyes, but it makes them water. I use the individual vials from Systane because my lasic surgery doc told me to use that years ago.

They are smaller than a pinky finger and the lid reattaches. One vial can last 2 days being used twice a day.

Pack them in your in-flight pouch. This travel hack for your airplane seat helps you not have to keep getting your personal item bag during the flight. All the essentials are in that one pouch.

Do you use the lavatory during a flight?

Do you avoid it like the plague? Well, even washing my hands once in an airplane dries out my hands.

After airport security, do this!

I move my Gold Bond for Diabetics lotion out of my liquids bag to my in-flight pouch so that I can use it while seated.

That airplane lavatory soap or water makes my skin prickly after one washing.

No idea why it’s called For Diabetics, but I like it for 2 reasons:

  1. No fragrance
  2. Super thick

I prefer these travel-size containers for lotions but the Diabetics is so thick! That lotion has no chance of leaking.

Travel Tip:

If you have prescription creams or medication that you have packed, make sure you follow the TSA rules. They are so much more knowledgeable about special medicine we need for a vacation, and so they have ways you can pack them all without taking forever.

This video explains rules for bringing prescription medicine in the airplane, but you have to watch the entire video before you can send me a question lol. Or just check the airport security website and scroll to Medical.

And grab this freebie if ya need it.
