When you Travel to Europe here is what not to forget to pack. When we traveled to Europe – specifically Munich, Berlin, Belgium, Normandy, and Paris I forgot to pack some essentials. This video will help you know what not to forget when you travel to Europe.
Do not forget to pack a converter kit. This kit has adapters for the plugs around the world. You can just take the ones for Europe. We had enough for my husband and myself as well as one for our son. The kit also comes with a converter. This must say dual wattage I don’t know why. It’s for anything with a heating element…for me it was a curling iron or an iron. Ours is from almost 20 years ago so it is worth the money.
I forgot to pack Peanut butter crackers for that first morning when you are wide awake at 4 am and hungry. I also forgot an eye glasses cleaning cloth for my reading glasses. Rain, sprinkle, putting them in and out of my crossbody bag.
No-Sugar sugar packets like Equal if that is an essential for you as a diabetic or healthy drinker.
Do not forget to pack headphone jacks for your phone but also for the airplane’s onboard entertainment system. On our flight, it was the old end. So I packed my nice Apple headphones with that flat jack, but I also packed my old ones. But I brought them in case I needed them (but I cannot stand them). Most airlines will give you headphones but just in case…
Pack mix and match tops and bottoms if you are trying to save space. When we visited Europe it was during the winter so I packed thin layers…long sleeve tops and a short sleeve top that could be worn under sweaters if I got hot.
Eye drops-so dry on way home
Make up remover wipes instead of the liquid. I cut my Mary Kay ones in half, and they take off every bit of makeup.
And you may need a power bank charger to re-charge your phone across the pond. I highly recommend this type that has enough umph to charge your phone twice.
Basic makeup, small deodorant, my own shampoo. You do not have to use yours every time, but using hotel shampoo for 10 days would not be good for dry scalp.
Hoodie for plane if i get cold and one day if just want to wear a tee and tie a hoodie around my waist-I did this on my last day of touring in Paris
Do not forget to pack tissues when you travel to Europe. If you are in a hotel, they will have them but most likely not in an Airbnb for example. With the different air quality and air conditioning in subways, etc, you will probably need kleenex.
If traveling on your own in Europe, not with a bus tour company, make sure ur suitcase has really really good wheels…cobblestone roads, walking for blocks and blocks, going off curbs and down n up subway steps.
By the way, my name is Laurie; thank you for watching my videos. I’m a Houston pilot wife helping you travel the globe without a worry in the world.
Do not forget to pack an empty water bottle or save a couple as you travel. You can fill one up in the morning before touring.
We forgot to pack Purell-subway handrails, doors, elevator buttons, etc
Shoes that can get wet-summer maybe canvas shoes or sneakers without the mesh. And flip flops or sandals. I wore these mocs and saw none this color. These are almost 20 years old, but they were awesome when it rained. I took booties and Mizuno tennis shoes for comfort.
Do not forget to pack comfy shoes-I saw those bright sneakers, lots of black sneakers, regular tennis shoes, Vans, tons of booties if ur going during winter Fall or Spring seasons. And these people did not look like Americans. My husband bought these travel shoes and never got blisters the whole flight. They are true to size and can get wet if it rains.
Crossbody-I don’t have a link for mine but I liked that it could get wet and was big enough for a bottle of water, wallet, and reading or sunglasses.
Short sleeved shirt when u get home and connecting to another airplane to get home in case ur weather back home is warm. When we traveled to Europe it was winter and I got so hot in Subway with all those layers
I forgot to pack my Slip on shoes for flight. It’s so nice to take off your shoes and walk to the bathroom in shoes you don’t have to bend down and tie or hunt for in the dark. They turn off the lights during these flights to Europe.
Police house service may be in your area where they check on your house while you are away.
Tons of lotion-very dry because using their hotel soaps and airplane soap. I used this on the last day. I would use hotel lotion on my legs and this diabetic thick lotion on my arms and hands. Love this stuff-found travel size in Walmart on the lotion aisle not on the travel aisle.
This cylinder container is great for saving space and for thick liquids like Vaseline too.
Get euros when u can – pay in euro cash for an excursion-ours for 4 was almost $500 euros so hubby started 2 days before getting lots o cash at a time instead of one large amount-they cap your withdrawal amount and may think fraud. Walked forever trying to find an atm that still had money in it on a Sunday night in Berlin.
I like taking things I can get rid of. I packed a toothpaste tube that was almost gone so I could just toss it and not worry about repacking it in my liquids bag. It’s just a relief not having to pack all your travel essentials for Europe on your last day because you are not in the mood.
Do not forget to pack in compression bags that do not need a vacuum or cubes. They’re great for saving space! The compression bag sucks in as soon as you start rolling the bag.
The #1 thing we forgot is that our Airbnb had a washing machine. If you will travel on a long trip, stay in an Airbnb that has washer for two nights so u can wash and hang dry ur clothes midway through the trip-you do not have to pack as many clothes if you know you can do laundry for even just your top.
